Watches by Jaquet Droz maintain a very classic and unique look. In the “Grande Seconde” line this means a dial and subdial in the shape of an 8 in fairly large watch, 43mm.
In 2018 the brand made a bold move and released a new watch the Skeleton or Skelet one. In 2019 a more sporty, ceramic version in dark blue was launched.
The result is a very special, highly skeletonized and featherlight watch.
Skeleton watches 💀 are always very distinct and perhaps bold. Sometimes the “less” in the skeletonised components translates to “more” on the wrist
gone are the classic roman numerals on the dial replaced with more modern indexes in white gold
the textile strap adds to the casual nature of the watch. It doesn’t mean that it doesn’t work with a suit: as you can see from the photos it is very versatile.
The watch is powered by the in-house caliber JD2663 SQ mechanical with automatic winding – 68h power reserve – 28,800 vibrations/h – 30 jewels – off-centered hours and minutes, large off-centered seconds.
At 41.5 mm the size of Grande Seconde Skelet-One Ceramic Blue is ideal.

The brand is engraved in the seconds sub-dial also in sapphire glass.
In conclusion the Jaquet Droz Grande Seconde Skelet-One Ceramic Blue is a very distinct watch and one of the best skeletonised high-end watches available on the market.
